Support Workers
Support Worker £8-8.50/hour depending on experience
This initial service is the first of five developments currently under way in Hertfordshire, Essex and Hillingdon and is going to begin admissions in early 2016. Bricket Wood is a campus of three bungalows, providing a person-centred service for a maximum of twelve residents. Each individual will have a range of complex needs, related to high support physical disabilities (PMLD), and often with associated additional communication needs. The home is in Bricket Wood, Hertfordshire, close to St Albans, Radlett, Watford and the M25.
Ideally, we are looking to offer candidates a permanent, full time, 40 hours per week contract, with 28 days paid annual leave including Bank Holidays. However, expressions of interest for part-time work will also be considered. Minimum qualification requirement is GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent. No Health & Social Care experience is required; a positive attitude to disability and a willingness to learn is all that is required. This position is equivalent to Hertfordshire County Council’s Trainee Health & Social Care (HSC) Practitioner role.
Support Workers will report to the Deputy Manager or Registered Manager and we would like them in post as soon as possible.
